Internet/Worldwide Web
Internet is a networking system that allows you to connect with others all around the globe, you can communicate and share information. The people who founded/created the internet are Bob Kahn, and Vint Cerf, in January of 1983. It was originally invited specifically for military purposes however it soon spread and was widely used in the science world, for the communication among scientists, now we can see internet being used in everyday life, most use it for communication, to find information, shop from home, watch and listen to things and many more.
According to MDN Web Docs the World Wide Web is "is an interconnected system of public webpages accessible through the internet. The Web is not the same as the Internet: the Web is one of many applications built on top of the Internet." Along with that the World Wide Web was created by Tim Berners-Lee, and Robert Calliau, in 1989. According to Cern, the World Wide Web was originally created to meet the demand for information sharing among scientists in universities and institutes all around the world. Now the World Wide Web is around for everyone not only scientists it opened up a new way of finding information, sharing things, and for communication purposes. Also more recently, it has allowed people to share information through social media.
With both of these the World Wide Web was created on the internet, they are not the same thing but they are connected to one another, meaning they work together/side by side.
The first web page ever posted was on august 6, 1991, once again created by Tim Berners-Lee, and Robert Calliau. The URL was http://info.cern.ch/hypertext/WWW/TheProject.html. But it is no longer up or searchable.
